My Top 10 All Time Mini Dolls

Name: Andrea
Theme: Friends
Sub-Theme: Pop Star
Set:  Pop Star Show Stage
Set Number: 411105

I actually bought this Mini Doll individually on Bricklink.com. There are less Andrea Mini Dolls than some of the other girls, and as she is the only brown girl, this is the only elaborate outfit that can be used with other brown dolls.

Name: Livi

Theme: Friends
Sub-Theme: Pop-Star
Set: Pop Star Dressing Room
Set Number: 41104

This is the second mini doll to come from this Theme and Sub-Theme which feels a little like cheating. But the dolls from this range came in beautifully printed outfits taking dolls to a place they hadn't been to before, and maybe haven't been since. They make me think of elaborate dance or ice-skating costume.

Name: Joanna

Theme: Friends
Sub-Theme: N/A
Set: Heartlake Pet Salon
Set Number: 41007

This Mini Doll is just adorable! I remember buying the set she comes from just for her! Her little top is so cute and I think she was the first time I had the platted black hair on a Mini Doll as well. There aren't/Weren't many clothes options for the darker skinned mini dolls from the original line, so the top presented an exciting opportunity for a different outfit. Paired with Andrea's yellow skirt it looks amazing.

Name: Stephanie

Theme: Friends
Sub-Theme: Seasonal
Set: Friends Advent Calendar
Set Number: 41326

This Mini Doll came from my all time favourite Lego Calendar. The beautiful print on the torso and the little pom-poms printed on the boots really give it a Christmas feeling. The minute it gets a little colder post-summer, this is the mini doll outfit I bring out into my town. I remember I loved this so much my partner bless him got me three advent calendars! I am truly lucky.

Name: Skyra

Theme: Elves
Sub-Theme: N/A
Set: Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle
Set Number: 41078

This set predates when I seriously started collecting Lego by a year. I don't have this Mini Doll - but I wish I did! When people say Lego Elves this is what I envision, grand Elves with crazy cool hair and dresses that I totally won't use with other face and hair parts because it looks like the kind of wedding dress I would have if A) I ever wanted a wedding and B) I won the lottery. Even though I do not own this, it makes the list because the detail and effort that the designers and manufacturers must have put into the hair and the dress warrant recognition.

Name: Fa Mulan

Theme: Disney
Sub-Theme: Princess
Set: Mulan's Training Day
Set Number: 41151

I own this one. It's amazing. I had two distinct Disney phases in my childhood.
1) Cinderella
2) Mulan
These phases consisted of singing the songs from their movie whenever I could. Apparently my hearing was bad even then, because my Mama definitely heard me singing "Sing Glue Nighting Gale" and even now all these years later, doesn't let me forget it. Mulan made the biggest impression on me though - she was fierce and though and could protect herself - thing I too wanted to be able to do. Anyway, character and childhood aside, when I found out she was going to be a Mini Doll she could have been in the dullest set ever and I still would have saved up and gotten it. Luckily the set was a solid 7/10 loosing points on a foal that IS NOT KHAN that I have talked about at least twice on this blog somewhere. In short Mulan cool, Mulan make list.

Name: Andrea
Theme: Friends
Sub-Theme: N/A
Set:Andrea's Park Performance
Set Number:41334

This lovely Andrea doll comes from the reboot we got in 2018. I have to say the reboot meant a definite departure from the traditional cutsie pattern-oriented designs and onto more cohesive outfits where the top and bottom parts have a clear cohesive design like with this one where Andrea has gold on her shoes and her shirt. This is Andrea's second appearance on this list - I definitely have a sweet spot for her.

Name: Cinderella
Theme:Disney
Sub-Theme:Princess
Set:Cinderella's Enchanted Evening
Set Number:41146

Ever since I was a little girl, Cinderella has been the princess. She has the dresses the songs and the strong mentality. She doesn't wait for the prince to save her - he just so happens to be a bi-product of her efforts to stand up for herself. The cartoon was magical, and the 2015 live-action adaptation that came out while I was still in my teen years added more and more magic. The full skirt of this Mini Doll - which i believe was introduced with this set - really captures the decadent magical whimsyness of Cinderella's ball gown. It is a must have for any Lego Disney collector.

Name:Emily Jones
Theme:Elves
Sub-Theme:N/A
Set: Aira's Airship and the Amulet Chase
Set Number:41184

I have always liked the Jones girls from the Lego Elves franchise. They always have these cute but simple clothes designs. I love what this particular Mini Doll has on - a shoulder-less striped tee with a pink vest underneath, matching grey skirt and leggings with converse-style shoes. Classic, yet contemporary. Not to mention the cute print on the face that really sets her apart from the Friends dolls and makes her unique and memorable.

Name: Andrea
Theme: Friends
Sub-Theme: N/A
Set:Andrea's Accessories Store
Set Number: 41344
So I definitely have a love for Andrea. It seems consistently while she has maybe the smallest number of appearances in sets, she has the best ones. I mean the accessory store? AMAZING. The bedroom set we had in 2018 for Andrea was easily the best with that amazing bed/mirror build. Time and time again she has the best builds for the personality the creators of Lego Friends have given her. This Mini Doll is no different - she has a lovely dark skirt with a metallic denim-style jacket with a cute pink leopard-print shirt. Very fashionable.
