1. Dementor
Are you feeling cold? A general sense of doom and gloom? That would be because opening my list is the dementor - J.K. Rolling's personification of her depression the dementors were charged with guarding the wizard prison, Azkaban, until they pledged their allegiance to Voldemort before The second great battle at Hogwarts. After the defeat of Voldemort the did not return to Azkaban.
2. Thestrals
I can't see anything, can you? Thestrals are kind of like the Wizarding World's answer to horses; they draw the carriage that transport Grindlewald and that takes students of Hogwarts from second year on wards to the school from the station the Hogwarts Express lets out on. And, of course, they can only be seen by someone who has witnessed death - at the start of the fourth movie, only Luna and Harry are able to see them.
3. Thunderbird
Not only can they sense danger but as they swoop through the air they can cause storms. It's tail feathers are said to be particularly good for transfiguration, and it is the animal that helps remove the memories of the muggles - sorry - I mean no-majs at the end of the first Fantastic Beasts instalment.
4.Aragog (Acromantula)
Unpleasant even just to look at, I think Ron Weasely was right to be wary of this eight-legged foe. Even with it being immortalised in Lego form with rather cute eyes it is still an imposing presence. The large spider which in the books had venomous fangs, and innumerable children makes it onto the list for making a magical creature out of a normal garden insect, and simultaneously preying on everyone's spider related fears.
5. Niffler
Of course this wouldn't be a list of the best animals in the Wizarding World Theme without everyone's favourite kleptomaniacle platypus like pal. Friend to Newt Scamandar if also sometimes a trying ally they truly add comedic moments and useful plot solutions to the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
